The Lincoln County High School Advisory Council met in its regular scheduled meeting on October 21, 2014 in the LCHS Media Center office. The meeting was called to order by principal, Tim Godbey at 5:02 p.m.

A. Agenda-The agenda was reviewed and there were no amendments.
B. Review minutes of September-The minutes were reviewed and no changes were necessary.
C. Good News Report-Band scored 73.05 highest rating ever at the state quarter finals. FBLA had sixteen students volunteer for Big Toy Day.
D. Public Comment-None
A. Program Review Update-Arts and Humanities-A&H are focusing on three areas: creating, performing, and critiquing. The different departments will be including this in the program review when it falls within their curriculum.
B. Review of 2013-2014 School Report Cards-Mr. Godbey provided the council with the 2014-2015 dashboards of where we have been and where we are going. Mr. Godbey is going to add a column with state averages. This report will be given to staff on November 4th to analyze data.
- CSIP-Mr. Godbey provided the council with the CSIP layout. He plans to give a copy to the staff on November 4th. He plans to have the plan submitted before Christmas Break.
- Review Financial Statements for September 2014-The finances for September were reviewed. No changes were necessary.
A. LCHS Grading Policy (Review)-Mr. Godbey provided the council again with an example of a grading policy. The council decided that in the LCHS policy it needs to state the following: purpose, coursework types, grading scale, learning targets, extra credit (there is none), what goes into IC, etc. Mr. Godbey is going to write a draft and provide at the next meeting.
Executive Session for consultation on hiring-Social Studies Position-Mr. Godbey recommended to the council hiring of Kayla Carrier.
