Letters of Recommendation

If students need a letter of recommendation from the guidance office, pick up a Letter of Recommendation Personal Data Form  from the guidance department and return the completed form to a guidance counselor one week before the recommendation is needed.

SENIORS... If you get any college scholarships or scholarships outside of school, please let the Guidance office know!!  We want to celebrate your accomplishments!  You can bring in your Scholarship Award Letter and we can make a copy for us. 
Scholarships are listed below.  The newest ones are on top.  You can also stop by the Guidance Window and the Scholarship Bulletin Board close to the back lobby to pick up information.  When the date has passed to apply, "Date passed..." is written above it. 

Fifth Third Bank Scholarship!  Deadline: May 7th

Student, plan ahead because you have to complete of the two online resources below FIRST before filling out the essay!  If you have any trouble with the online resources, please come see Mrs. Wright.

Fifth Third Bank has sponsored two online resources for your students- EVERFI-Financial Literacy and Venture.
If students complete either of these resources and write a short (300-500 word) essay about what they learned, they will be entered to win a $2,500 college savings scholarship. You can find more details about the scholarship here. 



KHEAA IPAD Pro Giveaway May 1st - June 1st

Kentucky residents have another chance to win a new iPad from KHEAA in a sweepstakes being held through Facebook in February.  The contest runs from 12 a.m. on Feb. 1 through 12 a.m. on March 1.


To enter, a Kentuckian must visit the KHEAA Facebook page, click on the “Giveaway” tab on the left side of the KHEAA Facebook page and answer one question about college. On a mobile device, the giveaway post is pinned to the top of the KHEAA Facebook page. KHEAA will not share or sell any personal information to a third party.


Only Kentucky residents are eligible. Employees of KHEAA or its sister agency, the Kentucky Higher Education Student Loan Corporation, and their immediate family members are not eligible. Prior winners are also not eligible.  The drawing will be held in early March, and the winner will be notified by email. The winner must respond by email within three calendar days to receive the iPad Pro. If no response is received within three days, another winner will be drawn.




This website could be useful for matching you to scholarships.  It also has a good student resource page for writing essays.  You do have to make an account to use be matched to scholarships.  YOU SHOULD NEVER PAY TO SUBMIT A SCHOLARSHIP, so if something asks for that, STOP and don't do it!!

Lincoln Lodge #60

The Lincoln Masonic Lodge #60 is offering a $500 scholarship to a graduating senior.  Applications are available in the guidance office or at the link below.  Completed applications must be returned to the guidance office by May 12.

Waynesburg Elementary PTO Scholarship Application

Waynesburg Elementary PTO is offering a scholarship to a senior student who attended Waynesburg Elementary.  Applications are available in the guidance office or at the link below and are due back to the guidance department by May 9th.

Lincoln County Farm Bureau Scholarship

The Lincoln County Farm Bureau Federation is offering a $500 scholarship to a student of a member family.  Applicants must be the child of a current Lincoln County Farm Bureau member family and must finish high school within the year they apply for the scholarship.  Applicants must be graduating seniors and have a 2.5 GPA based on a 4.0 scale.  Children of Farm Bureau Insurance employees are not eligible to compete.  Applications are available in the guidance office or at the link below.  Completed applications must be turned in to the guidance office by May 12th. 


Lincoln County Conservation District Scholarship

The Lincoln County Conservation District will be offering a $500 scholarship to two high school seniors who will be attending college and majoring in agriculture or a related field (Biology, Environmental Science, Forestry, Fish & Wildlife, Ag Business, Ag Education, or Engineering).  Applications are available in the guidance office or at the link below.  Completed applications and essays are due to the guidance office by May 10th.
