About Us

Lincoln County Middle School is a rural seventh and eighth grade center of approximately 600 students located in the city of Stanford in south-central KY.  Organized around principles that define exemplary middle level education, programs are designed to meet the unique social, emotional, cognitive, and academic needs of adolescents.

Our mission statement and vision define our goal that all students realize their full potential within a supporting, nurturing, and caring atmosphere, and our teaming concept creates a structure for the development of meaningful, supportive relationships amidst a rigorous academic program.

Thirty-two instructors are divided into six heterogeneously balanced teams, four others serve on an Encore team, and one other provides instructional support in various capacities.  The academic curriculum consists of the core classes of English/language arts, math, social studies, and science; a Spanish I course for high school credit that is offered in the zero-hour period; RTI reading and RTI math courses; enrichment science and social studies courses; and nine-week-long encore classes of band, chorus, PE-Health, life management, music, PE-dance, and visual art complete our curricular offerings.
