On Friday, March 31 LCMS students and staff will pull together to fight heart disease--the #1 killer of Americans--by participating in the annual Hoops for Heart basketball game to raise money for the American Heart Association. This is done in an effort to build healthier lives and reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Sixth graders will participate at approximately 12:45 and seventh and eighth graders starting at 2:00. Both students and staff will take part, battling it out on the court.
Students can help by attending the game and pay the $3 admission fee. Parents may make donations and promote the event.
We would like to encourage our school and community to continue to help fight heart disease and stroke by supporting our students and faculty in this Hoops for Heart event for the American Heart Association. Our goal is to raise $2000 for the cause.
