It's time again for our i-Ready interim diagnostic test! Students will be testing one day in the upcoming two weeks as their final interim i-Ready diagnostic assessment for the 2016-17 school year.
The i-Ready testing system helps teachers and staff monitor student academic achievement, progress, and growth to help determine if students are on track for proficiency. The i-Ready will also be used to monitor the progress of students receiving interventions through the Response to Intervention (RTI) program. As part of its instructional component, i-Ready also provides students with lessons to help them to improve. These lessons can be completed anywhere students have an Internet connection, allowing them to practice even at home.
After the i-Ready assessment window has closed students will be receiving score reports so that they and their parents can also monitor their progress and determine if goals have been reached. In February, students participated in follow-up goal-setting and planning sessions to help them focus on improvement. Final follow-up sessions are scheduled for after students complete i-Ready and MAP testing so that students can self-assess and receive a final interim report before heading into K-PREP state testing at the end of the year.
