This year, we are pleased to announce that Amy Holtzclaw will be serving the school in a new capacity, as our new Reading Interventionist, made possible by a Read to Achieve grant. This grant was received last year and will bring $100,000 dollars to Highland for the next two instructional years to use for reading instruction. Amy has 24 years teaching experience. She is a graduate from Eastern Kentucky University with both Bachelor of Science and a planned fifth year program. Ms. Holtzclaw has a daughter, Emily, who is a Junior at LCHS.
