NEW DROP OFF AND PICK-UP PROCEDURES FOR KINDERGARTEN THROUGH 5TH GRADE AT STANFORD ELEMENTARY.

NEW DROP OFF AND PICK-UP PROCEDURES FOR KINDERGARTEN THROUGH 5TH GRADE AT STANFORD ELEMENTARY.

-Pre-school will no longer be using the back parking lot for pick-up and drop-off this year.  If you have a pre-school student you will receive instructions on drop off and pick-up times using the pre-school parking lot.  If you have a preschooler and a student at SES grade K-5 you will need to go through both the pre-school line and the regular elementary drop-off/pick-up line.  Sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause.  The changes were made to ensure the safety of our students.

-Students who are car riders may only use the back car loop for drop-off/pick-up.  Please enter and exit from Old Fort Road only.  For the safety of our students, no vehicles should be entering or exiting from Foster Lane. Please do not drop your children off anywhere else on campus due to safety concerns.

- This year drop off for students K-5 will be in the back car loop.  At 7:40 the doors will open to let students enter the gym.  Students will need to be in the building by 8:05 and the doors will close.  After this time, parents will need to take students to the front office and bring them in the building to sign-in.  In the afternoon, dismissal will be at approximately 3:20 and will follow the same procedure as previous years.  If you have a car tag from the previous year, please have it visible for our staff to see.  If you do not have a car tag, we will work on getting you one as soon as possible.

-When arriving in the morning, please have your student ready to exit the car as quickly as possible.  Please have their backpack and lunchbox ready.  You may want to help them practice buckling and unbuckling their seat belt so they will be ready for a safe exit.

-Please watch for teacher’s instructions when unloading and loading children in the back parking lot.  There will be teachers stationed in the back that will instruct drivers to pull up into the loading/unloading zone.  If all drivers will make an effort to pull up and keep the traffic flowing as much as possible, this will help to speed up the process of loading and unloading.

-Please be patient as we make these changes in our car rider procedures.  We are always looking for ways to streamline our process.  The safety of the children is our priority.
