Waynesburg Elementary Students place at Regional Governor's Cup

Waynesburg Academic TeamThe Waynesburg Academic Team was presented a Patriot Award at the April board meeting in recognition of their accomplishments at the Regional Governor’s Cup Competition. Congratulations!!!!

Overall Team Awards: Team Placed 6th

Social Studies: Matthew Sneed (1st place at region and 3rd place at state)

Written Composition: Jaelyn Clothier (3rd place)

The Kentucky Commissioner of Education is seeking applications for appointment to the Lincoln County Board of Education.

You are invited to nominate yourself or someone you know who is qualified to serve on the Lincoln County Board of Education representing Educational Division # 3.    

This appointment is effective until the November 2019 Regular Election.

This is a public service position. The appointee will not be employed by the Lincoln County Board of Education.

 

Responsibilities

Serving on the school board is an important public service. School board members are leaders in the community and play a critical role in ensuring students receive the high-quality education they deserve. Responsibilities include:

  • Developing policy that governs the operation of schools;
  • Providing visionary leadership that establishes long-range plans and programs for the district;
  • Hiring the district superintendent and issuing annual evaluation reports;
  • Setting local tax rates and practicing vigorous stewardship to ensure that all school district funds are spent wisely.

 

LCHS Archery Team Places at NASP State Tournament

LCHS Archery Team 2019

Congratulations LCHS Archery Team!!!  They were State runner up in NASP/ IBO 3D and 3rd place in NASP Bullseye.
Way to Go Lincoln!!!

On March 15th & 16th Lincoln County archery teams competed at the NASP State Archery Tournament in Louisville Kentucky. 

 

Stanford Elementary 15 of 102 schools in competition with a score of 2992.
Waynesburg Elementary – 51 of 102 schools in competition with a score of 2795.
Lincoln County Middle School – 30 of 107 schools in competition with a score of 3201.
Lincoln County Middle School (3D) – 25 of 29 schools with a score of 1502.
Lincoln County High School – 3rd out of 107 schools in competition with a score of 3430.
Lincoln County High School (3D) – 2nd out of 32 schools in competition with a score of 1711.

 

Congratulations to all of our teams!! All of our schools have qualified for the National Competition!!!
