Since 2011, Mr. Harris has served as the assistant principal at Lincoln County High School, where he played an integral part in the turn-around process and gained enormous experience in all facets of school leadership. When notified of the council’s choice, Mr. Harris remarked,
“I am thrilled to be selected as the principal of Waynesburg Elementary. I am anxious to get started and look forward to working with the students, faculty, staff, families, and the community in making decisions which are in the best interest of our students. Waynesburg students should be proud of their school and I am committed to partnering with all stakeholders in continuing the tradition of providing a quality education for all.”
Superintendent Rowe further reiterated, “There was a deep pool of highly qualified candidates that applied for this position. However, after a prescriptive and thorough screening and interview process, the committee selected the individual that possesses the skill and ability to lead Waynesburg Elementary into the future. I am confident that we selected the right person to be a part of our district leadership team here in Lincoln County.”
Mr. Harris will assume his new position on July 1, 2017.
