Jackie Risden-Smith, Chief Academic Officer of Lincoln County Schools, was recently appointed by Governor Bevin to one of Kentucky's Boards.
Mrs. Smith has been appointed to the Read to Achieve Council. The Council is responsible for advising the Kentucky Board of Education and the Kentucky Department of Education regarding decision making around the costs, needs, effectiveness, and development with implementation of reading instruction for students throughout the Commonwealth.
The council includes a total of 10 appointees by the governor and her term will expire June 30, 2020. The picture below was taken yesterday evening at a reception at the Governor's Mansion. Way to represent#TEAMLincoln.
