Sarah Hagans has worked in education for over twenty years in various roles and for non-profit organizations and public schools. Before serving as a certified teacher, Hagans worked with struggling learners as part of summer school programs and tutoring programs. She later became co-creator and coordinator for a reading intervention program. After receiving initial certification, Hagans began her teaching career at Lincoln County Middle School in Stanford, KY where she taught Spanish and arts and humanities. She later served as an instructional coach where she helped lead curriculum, instruction, assessment, and school improvement initiatives. Since serving as an instructional coach, Hagans has returned to the classroom as a computer science teacher where she also continues to serve as academic team and future problem solving coach.
Hagans graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Spanish and continued her education earning her Master’s Degree in Education, initial teacher certification, and later her Rank I Certification in instructional systems design with an endorsement in computer technology.
