House Team Service Learning Projects/Field Trips

What is service learning you ask?  Well its a teaching and learning strategy that integrates service to ones community with instruction and reflection, enriching the learning experience while teaching civic responsibility to strengthen our communities.  A major component of our TIG grant is to teach students to be civic minded and develop leadership skills to be successful in their own communities and the world.  And while these are only elementary students, a strong foundation leads to a stronger structure.

Upon hearing this news, Superintendent Rowe stated, “We are pleased to be deemed a Distinguished School District!  All of our schools have points for celebration. Lincoln County High School is on track to meet their goal of a top 10 high school in the state of KY. Equally as exciting is the news that Lincoln County Middle School and Crab Orchard have been classified as distinguished schools!”
