With the Education Reform Act of 1990, and related Kentucky law statutes, came an opportunity for teachers and parents to work together with administrators to make plans and decisions for local schools by serving on the school's Site-Based Decision Making Council. The Lloyd McGuffey site-based council is composed of two parents, three teachers and one principal. Decisions from establishing policies about field trips to consultation on hiring are guided by the council. Our council meetings are open to the public and governed by the Open Meetings Law. Our council is continually working to be sure that the children at the Lloyd McGuffey Sixth Grade Center have the best educational opportunities possible!
