Lincoln Student Early Dismissal
(Stanford, Ky.) – Today, Superintendent Karen Hatter announced early dismissal for Lincoln County Students due to the possibility of local flooding. The decision was made in collaboration with local school and community leaders based on the local weather reports. The decision was made so that students would be transported between the timing of weather fronts so that locally high waters would have time to recede.
Ted DeFossit, Lincoln County Bus Garage Coordinator, announced on WPBK that students would be dismissed from the high school and middle school campuses at 11:15 AM and that bus drivers would begin routes to their respective elementary schools around 11:30 AM. Students will make their normal transitions at the elementary school and begin their routes home at approximately 11:45.
Please keep in mind that bus drivers may have to take precautions in their routes to ensure the safety of our student and thus making a longer route home. We anticipate arrival times between 12:30 and 12:45 for all students.
