Old Man Winter has definitely sent us a heavy blow and is keeping our students out of school once again! While we are very concerned about the interruption in the learning process, safety of our students is our top priority. We wanted to share some pictures of the roads around the county that our buses must travel as we transport our students every day.
As you can see, many roads are still ice and snow covered and some bus turnarounds are non-functional. Additionally, many other routes have only one clear lane down the middle of the road. If a bus and vehicle met, one would have to pull off into a snow drift and would likely get stuck or maybe even slide off of the road.
We are hopeful that the warmer temperatures forecast this weekend will usher in a spring thaw that will enable our students to get back into school on Monday. It is time to take the wind out of Old Man Winter and welcome SPRING!!
