October is recognized as National Principals Month. The five elementary schools in Lincoln County employ seven principals. Highland, Crab Orchard and Waynesburg Elementary each have one principal. Stanford and Hustonville Elementary both have two principals.
Over the past year, a unique bond has formed between these seven principals. Stanford Elementary Assistant Principal Julia Duncan said, “We have a lot of fun together and work as a team to serve all elementary students in the county. They are all OUR kids. We are the self-proclaimed Magnificent Seven.”
The fun nickname caught on amongst the group and they recently took it a step further and designed t-shirts that say #Mag7 across the back. Now, when you see one of these awesome principals sporting their #Mag7 shirt, you will fully understand the origin of this hashtag.
“Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results.” ~ Andrew Carnegie
