The LCMS Student Leadership Summit was this past Monday and Tuesday at LCMS. The two day event allowed students to participate in various activities on and off campus.
Students learned about leadership skills, self care and college and career readiness. There were also guest speakers for the students, informative workshops and some fun competitions and games too. Students in both 7th and 8th grade were allowed to job shadow as part of the two day event.
LCMS Principal Stacy Story commented, “The vision behind the Student Leadership Summit was to allow time for students to dig into thinking about who they are as a leader, how they can take care of themselves better and what they are dreaming of doing in their futures. It's important for students to begin to put feet to their dreams to add more meaning to their daily work at school knowing they are preparing for their futures every day.
Several local businesses, community members and Lincoln County Schools Student Support Center staff participated in the event and helped mentor students and lead other activities. All volunteers and staff were served lunch by the LCMS Family Consumer Science Class. Thanks to all who made the two day event a meaningful success!
