Board Unanimously Approves Extra Duty Contracts
The Lincoln County Board of Education voted 5-0 at the June 18th special called meeting to renew all extra duty contracts next year for certified and classified staff. This includes all athletic coaches.

Superintendent Michael Rowe stated, “Like most districts I am aware of, Lincoln County Schools will pay our coaches/sponsors for the 2020-2021 school year. This will occur regardless of what happens with their seasons. We did add one item to their respective contracts that stipulates the Superintendent may assign extra duties outside of the primary job description in the event that all or part of a season is cancelled. We are very appreciative of all the work they do for our students.”

The Board has also approved the plan to safely restart athletics in accordance with the Phase One guidelines released by the KHSAA. This plan was also approved by the Lincoln County Health Department.
