Routine temperature screenings are no longer required upon school entry

Routine temperature screenings will no longer be required for students and staff prior to school entry for Lincoln County Schools. This change to the Healthy at School Guidelines was made by the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE), in consultation with the Kentucky Department for Public Health (DPH).

Students that exhibit symptoms of illness while at school should have their temperature taken as part of the physical assessment done by school staff.

Parents should continue to monitor their students for COVID-19 symptoms and should not send their student to school if they are showing symptoms, including having a fever of 100.4 or greater.
