ABOUT US

Lincoln County Middle School is a rural 6th-8th grade center of approximately 800 students located in the city of Stanford in south-central KY. Organized around principles that define exemplary middle level education, programs are designed to meet the unique social, emotional, cognitive, and academic needs of adolescents.

Our mission statement and vision define our goal that all students realize their full potential within a supporting, nurturing, and caring atmosphere, and our teaming concept creates a structure for the development of meaningful, supportive relationships amidst a rigorous academic program.

Forty-two instructors are divided into six heterogeneously balanced teams, seven others serve on an Encore team, and three others provide instructional support in various capacities. The academic curriculum consists of the core classes of English/language arts, math, social studies, and science; RTI reading and RTI math courses; enrichment courses; and semester long encore classes of band, chorus, drama, family/consumer science, music, PE-Health, and visual art complete our curricular offerings.
