Lincoln County Schools is proud to announce all seven schools (Crab Orchard Elementary, Highland Elementary, Hustonville Elementary, Stanford Elementary, Waynesburg Elementary, Lincoln County Middle School and Lincoln County High School) in the district have been awarded the Mathematics Achievement Fund Mini Grant from the Kentucky Department of Education. 

Each school will be awarded $40,000. The grant provides funding for purchase of materials needed for modification of instruction in mathematics and pay for extended time or release time for teachers to engage in professional learning of the new mathematics materials purchased. 

The grant was applied for this past October. The grant application indicated KDE would be awarding 75 grants in total to schools in Kentucky. “We are excited to see all seven schools in the district receive this grant. Our students will definitely benefit from this funding,” said Dr. Chris Murray, Director of Secondary Schools. “We ow a huge thanks to Mrs. Colleen Benson for writing these grants for the county. This will help us continue to improve student achievement across our district.”
