Lincoln County High School is excited to announce Caitlin Hall Parson as the new head coach of the girls basketball program. Caitlin is a 2016 graduate of LCHS where she spent five seasons playing for the Lady Pats basketball team including the 2012 Sweet 16 Final 4 team and 2013 Sweet 16 team.
In college, Coach Parson attended Campbellsville University where she played four years of college basketball. She was First-Team All Conference her junior and senior seasons and was also NAIA All-American honorable mention both years. She appeared in over 120 games in her collegiate career at Campbellsville where she is currently third all time in assists.
After college she began her coaching career at South Laurel High School working under two time state champion Coach Chris Souder. After a season there she joined the staff at Somerset High School the past two seasons working with Cassandra McWhorter.
“We are thrilled to welcome Caitlin back home as head coach of the Lady Pats,” said Principal Michael Godbey. “Her passion for the game and Lincoln County, along with her experience as a player and coach, will be key in the continued success and advancement of the girls basketball program."
Caitlin, and her husband Michael, reside in Lincoln County. She is very excited to return to her school and lead the Lady Pats. “I’m so grateful to have this opportunity. Playing here, and now to be the head coach of this program, is a dream come true!”
