Lincoln County High School is excited to announce Matt Willoughby as the new assistant principal at the high school. Mr. Willoughby has been in education for 17 years as a teacher, assistant principal, and a head principal. He also worked for the Kentucky Department of Education for five years as an educational recovery leader.
He is a graduate of Midway College where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Education. He also has a Masters in Leadership (Principalship) and a Rank 1 in District Leadership from University of the Cumberlands.
“I have heard many great things about Lincoln County and I can’t wait to be part of the team,” said Assistant Principal Willoughby. “I feel like we are poised to do some great things and am super excited to be here.”
Lincoln County Principal Chase Padgett said Willoughby’s vast experience in education will be an asset to the school. “Matt has spent time in a classroom setting and has several years of experience as a principal. His skillset is perfect for us as we continue to strive for excellence at the high school.”
Mr. Willoughby and his wife Carrie have been married for 26 years and have three children. He enjoys watching sports, playing tennis and golf and spending time outdoors in his free time. Please join us in welcoming Assistant Principal Willoughby and his family to Lincoln County.
