Lincoln County Schools is pleased to announce Tyler McFarland as the new Assistant Athletic Director for the district.
Tyler currently serves as an Exceptional Child teacher at Lincoln County Middle School and brings a strong background in education, coaching, and leadership to his new role.
A 2012 graduate of Mason County High School, Tyler was a three sport athlete in football, basketball, and track. He earned his degree in P 12 Health and Physical Education from Morehead State University in December 2016.
Tyler's coaching experience includes serving as an assistant football coach at Mason County, George Rogers Clark, Danville, and Mercer County. During his time at Mercer County, he also served as the Strength and Conditioning Coordinator for two seasons, helping student athletes reach their full potential both on and off the field.
In addition to his work in the classroom and athletics, Tyler serves as a Beta Club sponsor. Outside of school, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife and son, working with athletes, watching sports at every level, and collecting sports cards, Lego sets, and vinyl records.
Tyler shared his excitement about his new role:
