Student reading
Third grade students at Crab Orchard Elementary are currently participating in the READBowl! READBowl is a free global reading competition where PK-8 aged teams around the globe compete to read for the most minutes.

The competition began the day of the College Football National Championship game, Monday, January 2nd, and will end on Super Bowl Sunday.

Each quarter of the competition, teachers submit the number of minutes their students read that week for their conference. Third grade's conference is called the Big 3, and in this conference, 3rd grade classes go head-to-head with other 3rd grade classes around the United States.

Crab Orchard Elementary placed 3rd in the Big 3 Conference during the second quarter! They are also the only school in Kentucky that has placed in the top 25 teams for each conference since the competition has started.

Good luck the rest of way Cubs! For more information about the READBowl: https://www.readwithmalcolm.com/readbowl/
