We are very excited to announce that Kristy Johnson will be the new Librarian/ Media Specialist for LCMS. Mrs. Johnson was serving as Instructional Coach prior to being hired for this new role. "I have been a part of LCMS since 1999 and have been in several different positions through the years. Regardless of my role, my work has always been focused on reading and writing. I am very excited about my new role as library media specialist and to have the opportunity to support LCMS students and teachers in this position. I enjoy spending time with my husband and two sons, family and friends. We are involved in school and church activities and love to travel!" Stacy Faulkner, the previous librarian, retired after many years of service to Lincoln County. We are very thankful for her service to the student of LC!

It is that time of year to begin introducing new staff to the LCMS family. First up, we would like to welcome Bethany Collins. She will be teaching 7th grade science this upcoming school year. "I am so excited to be joining the LCMS community. First off my name is Bethany Collins. I am originally from a small town in Montana and went to Montana State University where I graduated with my elementary education degree along with my K-12 Science degree. I then moved to Las Vegas, Nevada to teach where I have taught for 17 years. I have mainly taught middle school science with 3 years of elementary sprinkled in. I love to do different after school activities…. You can catch me on the weekends with my husband and dog on our side by side. Fishing and camping are also usually in our plans. I can’t wait to meet each and every one of you!"

Also, midterms will be sent home this Friday and we will be having a KSA pep rally! Students that received proficient or distinguished last year will be recognized at that time. We are in the final stretch and we want to finish strong! #letsgogreen #EaglesRising

Attention Students and Families: Students that have failed the year in Math or English have a very small window to be working to get caught up. In order to avoid summer school, students are encouraged to enroll in 21st century for after school homework help and to work on iready lessons. If a student is able to show growth between now and the end of the year, they will not be required to go to summer school which will be mandatory to rise to the next grade level.
