"My name is Alex Sexton, and I am excited to be joining the Tiger family as a Kindergarten Instructional Assistant! I am currently in the Elementary Education program at EKU, and this will be my first year working in an educational role. I have always loved kids, and I can't wait to help students learn and grow. I am looking forward to an awesome school year!"

We are pleased to announce that Rena Plants has been hired as a special education teacher at Waynesburg Elementary!

"My name is Rena Plants, and I’m so excited to be teaching Special Education at Waynesburg Elementary this year! This will be my second year teaching special education, and I absolutely love helping students learn and grow in ways that work best for them. I have a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from WGU, and I’ll be graduating in May with my master’s in Special Education and Elementary Education from the University of the Cumberlands. When I’m not at school, you’ll usually find me reading a good book, crafting something fun, or spending time with my family. I’ve been married to my husband Eathan for 10 years, and we have three wonderful boys who keep life busy and fun! I’m really looking forward to an amazing year together! "

Students and staff from Waynesburg Elementary were recognized at last night’s working board meeting. There will be more recognitions at next week’s regular meeting.

October is National Principals Month. Principals are the leaders of our schools. We are thankful for the impact they have on our students and staff at Lincoln County Schools.

🔵 ⭐️ 🟠 Congratulations to Waynesburg Elementary for receiving a 🔵 Blue rating on KSA testing. This is the highest rating achievable for public schools in Kentucky per the Kentucky Department of Education color rating scale!
