Hello Waynesburg Families,
Just a reminder that tomorrow is our first PTO meeting of the year along with our volunteer training and background checks. Background checks are $10. Please bring exact change. If you wish to volunteer at an upcoming school dance, event, Fall Festival, etc. it is important that you attend tomorrow's meeting at 4:30 to get plugged in.
We also have a vacancy on our SBDM Council for a parent representative. If you are interested in serving on our council, please use the link below to learn more and complete the nomination form.

Nominations will be accepted until 3:00 tomorrow, Monday, September 28th.
Tomorrow will also start our book fair and COIN WARS! Remember, change is positive points, while dollar bills deduct points from other houses! Can't wait to see which house will win this months challenge.
Hope to see you this Thursday night from 4:00-5:30 for Family Math Night! The book fair is closed to parents during the school day, so be sure to swing by Thursday evening to shop with your student.
Just a reminder, tomorrow is DOLLY DAY! Don't forget to bring a donated book, if you wish to paticipate in the book exchange.

*** If parents wish to shop the Book Fair with their student they can do so on Thursday, October 1st during Family Math Night. The Book Fair is closed to the public during the school day due to classes taking place in the library.
Just a few reminders of some upcoming events for students.
TONIGHT- Our "Back to School Family Night" will take place at the Waynesburg Community Center Pavilion from 5:00-7:00. Double Springs and Pleasant View will be handing out school supplies and food bags while supplies last. There will also be a Foam Party, be sure to bring a towel!
Monday, August 10th- Kindergarten Camp from 9:00-2:00. If you are not registered to attend, please reach out to the front office today.
Monday, August 10th- Open House from 4:30-6:30, be sure to complete your Online Registration prior to Open House to avoid wait times.
Wednesday, August 12th- First day of school for students!
Reminder of our event tonight from 5:30-7:00 pm at Ruckels Pay Lake. (PARENT/ LEGAL GUARDIAN MUST BE IN ATTENDANCE WITH STUDENT) This free event is an evening of fishing, food, and fun. If attending, please check in at the registration table to grab fishing items, enter into the fishing pole drawing, and sign a waiver. This will be a great evening to connect with our awesome Waynesburg Elementary family! (This event is for Waynesburg students and families only.)
The suggested sizes by grade level are:
K - 1st : Small (6/7)
2nd - 3rd : Medium (8)
4th : Large (10/12)
5th: XL (14/16)
The class that donates the most pairs of pants will win a popcorn party.
