Dear Parents of car riders, We have new car tags for all riders this year. If you have a first time student who is a car rider or an existing student, new tags will be available at the front office during school hours on Thursday and Friday. If you have an old tag from years past, please dispose of it. We would also like everyone to look at the map for our new car lineup. We are asking people to stay right on Old Fort Road, turn left on Frontier Blvd, turn left on to Cannonade, then right back on Old Fort. Please remember not to block driveways along the route and do not line up before 3:05. Thank you!

There are still some extra lessons showing up in our Edgenuity system. Each week, your child will have assignments in Pathblazer Reading and Pathblazer Math that were assigned by the teacher. When your child opens Pathblazer Reading and Pathblazer Math, they will be able see what their teacher has assigned. Always look for the snowflake in the top corner and start with the snowflake. Your child will also have assignments in the Odyssey tab in Science and Social Studies. Always look for the snowflake in the top corner and start with the snowflake. There are Math and Language Arts activities within the Odyssey tab, but your child is not responsible for those. If you have questions, please reach out to your teacher via Class Dojo, email, or Google Voice number.

Students do not need to be doing any assignments in Edgenuity over the weekend. The assignments we need them to do will not be visible until 9:00 AM, Monday morning. Teachers will notify through Class Dojo when assignments are available. Just remember, students should always be looking for the snowflake to know what to do. If your student does not have an account in Edgenuity yet, please do not be alarmed. We are aware, and we are working with the company to resolve this issue. We are hopeful your account will be activated by Monday and your child’s teacher will reach out once we know the company has this issue resolved. If you have not completed your sign up for Class Dojo, this is a great time to take care of that so you and your child will be ready to receive communication. Class Dojo is a primary source of communication for ALL grade levels and ALL students this year.

We have some changes for our orientation meetings tomorrow, Friday, August 28th. ALL grade levels will use the front entrance to enter and exit the building. Please bring your child’s insurance card information to the meetings. You will need it to fill out the health form. Please remember that these orientation meetings count as your child’s participation for this week and assignments begin on Monday. If you haven’t completed Online Registration, please come early and expect to wait. You are required to complete the Online Registration before you can receive materials for your child. We want to thank our families for your attendance over these past two days. We have been able to see many of our students and families and it’s been great to see you! We appreciate the way you have followed the safety guidelines and helped us make this a great event for our kids. We look forward to wrapping up our remaining orientation meetings tomorrow.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, August 26th is for our first day of Orientation and Materials Distribution. Staff members have called our families to set up appointments. We ask that only ONE parent/guardian attend with each student because we must limit the number of people in our building. Masks must be worn. Temperatures will be taken. If you have not completed Online Registration, expect to wait and please come early to complete the Online Registration or you will miss your appointment with your teacher. Kindergarten and First grade students and families will enter under the tent between the front doors and the preschool entrance. Second and Third grade students and families will enter through the front doors. Fourth and Fifth grade students and families will enter under the tent in the BACK parking lot. Staff will be available at all entry points to direct families. We ask that once you arrive on our campus, you and your children maintain social distancing. If you do not have an appointment, please call the school at 606-365-2191 to schedule your appointment.
