
Two elementary schools were recognized at tonight’s board meeting for their fantastic performances in Kentucky Summative Assessments.
Waynesburg Elementary achieved a Blue rating which is the highest possible for schools in Kentucky. Hustonville Elementary maintained their Green rating which is the second best possible.

Water has been restored at the Lincoln County High School & Middle School campus. Normal operations will resume as scheduled. According to Stanford Water, the campus is under a boil water advisory. Water bottles will be provided for staff & students until the advisory is lifted.

There will be no school in Lincoln County today, Monday November 11th, due to a water leak within the Stanford Waterworks system that is impacting several schools. This will be a traditional day off (not NTI).

📢 There will be no school on Tuesday, November 5th, due to it being Election Day.


There was a fire at Lincoln County Middle School after school today in a classroom at the main building. It was contained in the classroom and was safely extinguished.
There were no injuries and damage was limited to one classroom that is currently being cleaned. School will operate on a normal schedule tomorrow.
We are very grateful for our local first responders for their prompt response to the situation.

LCHS Educators Rising students visited the central office Tuesday morning to learn more about how the district operates outside of the classroom.
These students are working toward becoming educators and obviously we’d love for them to become teachers and return to our district!


Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) held a ribbon cutting ceremony today at LCHS. Huge thanks to all who attended and showed support for this important new opportunity for our students.
JAG Kentucky is a program dedicated to helping students succeed in high school and beyond.



October is National Principals Month. Principals are the leaders of our schools. We are thankful for the impact they have on our students and staff at Lincoln County Schools.

Congratulations to Waynesburg Elementary for receiving a 🔵 Blue rating on KSA testing. This is the highest rating achievable for public schools in Kentucky per the Kentucky Department of Education color rating scale!

Today is National Custodian Appreciation Day. We appreciate all of the hard work our custodians do in providing a safe, clean and welcoming learning environment for students and staff across the district.

Next week is Fall Break for Lincoln County Schools. There will be no school October 7th-11th.

Huge thanks to Representative David Meade for spending time this morning visiting with administrators in some of our schools. We are appreciative of all he does for our county and district.




Friday (9/27/24) will be NTI weather day #1 for Lincoln County Schools. Students will work from home and staff will follow the NTI weather day plan.

Lincoln County High School students practiced their first vein puncture sticks yesterday as part of Mrs. Moberly’s phlebotomy class at the Garrard County Area Technology Center. Even Mr. Watts volunteered and he said the students did an amazing job!
